My sketching class ran the final two sessions, with careful social distancing in a different venue. I wont be showing examples except to say - drawing a bicycle from memory was hilarious - for a few minutes I couldnt remember which bits were attached where! I did enjoy the classes and will be going to more if life doesnt get in the way. I have signed up on a week by week basis for the next term.
My local sewing group is meeting again - we know each other very well and contact tracing is easy, so that has been good. Also I received news a day or two ago that the Quilting Guild can have a meeting in two weeks and a class I organised six months ago will be able to run! So in three weeks about 10 of us ladies will be able to play! And then notification has come through yesterday that the Art of Quilting exhibition I worked on for over a year will be opening again next Tuesday - not sure for how long but hopefully at least a couple more weeks!
Sewing wise I decided to get the very bitsy scrap quilt I worked on in lockdown out of the way - it was such a mess having lots of bits of fabric and patterns and templates - now i can tidy up and put most of them away in their appropriate boxes. Still need to put a border on it but fitting it together was like a grand jigsaw puzzle! I cheated a bit in places and made filler strips!

I am watching the property market both here and in Palmerston north - no action yet and I do get the collywobbles about such a major move but decluttering in the meantime is very useful. I am seriously examining everything i havent used or worn in the almost three years that i have been in this house. I will need to probably find a home for the larger items of furniture. My 8 foot dining table which was Peter's pride and joy is likely to have to go - where i dont know - but I will try to find it a good home.
Philosophy and Sanskrit will be online all this term, so that is a regular commitment - I try to dress up a bit and put lipstick and perfume on - dont get many chances at the moment!
Havent heard much from the kids but Catherine assures me all is well with her lot, and Jonathan and his family are also fine.
Weather is getting cooler - thank goodness my gas central heating works well.
